NOTD: Not So Innocent Princess Matte

I put a matte top coat over the manicure I had on. I like the matte version, it's just a shame the matte top coat makes the nail polish chip faster.

Products used:
  • Catrice - Princess For A Day
  • Catrice - Innocent Toxin (LE Revoltaire)
  • Essence - Matt top coat

NOTD: Mermaid nails

This manicure reminds me of mermaids. The way that flakes in the nail polish shift color it looks like fish scales and the jewel on the ring finger looks like a drop of water to me.

Products used:
  • no name light blue polish with frost finish
  • Essence - 01 Waking up in Vegas from TE Remix your Style
  • Essence Nail Art Nail Jewels - 02 Milky Way
  • top coat

NOTD: An Attempt at V-moon

Today's look was inspired by Rihanna's manicure in You Da One - I'm sure you've seen it, if not, here it is.

Source

I'm not sure what it's called, but I'm going to call it a V-moon because it looks like a cross between a half moon and a V-gap manicure to me. So here's my attempt at it.  Not nearly as good as the original. Guess I need some more practice.

Products used:
  • Essence Multi Dimension 33 Lucky Star, 2 coats
  • Essence Multi Dimension 20 Fatal, 1 coat
  • top coat: Miss Sporty Nail Expert Manicure Silk Base and Top Coat, 1 coat

What do you think about Rihanna's nails and style? Have you tried to replicate her manicure?

Essence TE Vampire's Love Nail Polish 01 Gold Old Buffy

This week I was very excited when I came across almost a fully loaded make up stand of Essence's TE Vampire's Love, however, the only two things that looked interesting enough for me to buy were a nail polish in a shade 01 Gold Old Buffy and the eye shadow palette named 01 Love At First Bite. Maybe I'll get some other stuff when I see swatches on other blogs.

Click on the images to enlarge them. ;)

I've put the nail polish on as soon as I came home but I had to wait a day for the sun to come out so I could take decent pictures, hence the tip wear.

It's a dark brownish gray base with golden glitter. It looks more gray in the real life than it does in the pictures. I've used two coats of Gold Old Buffy, no top coat. The application was nice, drying time too.

Swatches of the 01 Love At First Bite eye shadow palette coming soon! ;)

Getting blisters

Yesterday while I was writing a post about my this week's shopping experience my browser just froze and nothing I wrote got saved. As I'm a bit upset about it and don't really feel like writing the whole thing again I'l just keep it short and show you a couple of pictures.

1 H&M dress: 14,95€
2 H&M belt: 7,95€
3 H&M ring: 4,95€
4 no name shoes: 14,95€
During those few days shopping me and my friend both got a few blisters, but we'll live. At least we finally got some stuff we were looking for for a while. Though it would be nice if more stuff was on sale (yeah right, like that ever happens to me). :P

5 Calzedonia bikini: 35,00€ (upper) + 15,00€ (bottom) = 50,00€ - 50% = 25,00€
6 lemon-grass essential oil
7 Essence nail polish - Style For Summernights (from TE Nails In Style)
8 Orsay flip-flops: 7,95€ - 30% = 5,57
I took Cristina's advice (thank you honey :*) and bought lemon-grass essential oil. Now I just have to cross my fingers and hope it works. If you don't know what I'm talking about check out my previous post.

EOTD: Neutral

What do I do when I'm home alone with nothing to do? I put some make up on and something like this comes out ...

This look is something along the lines of how I usually do my eye make up. I tend to use browns and more neutral color as I'm not at all used to wearing heavy multi-colored make up. I think I should make it a personal challenge for the future to find out which of the more vivid colors suit me. I'm sure they're out there, I just have to find them.

All the make up products used to create this look were from Essence and are featured in the picture bellow. Unfortunately some of them are no longer available to purchase.

Oh, and before I forget a thank you to may first three followers for making the begining of my blogging journey a bit less lonely. :)
